Canadian Renewable Fuels Association reports progress on subsidy paymentsCanadian Renewable Fuels Association has been very active over the past several months concerning required changes to the ecoENERGY for Biofuels Program. As result of this activity Natural Resources Canada (NRCAN) will move forward with the rolling average mechanism including retroactive payments to existing biodiesel producers to the April 1, 2008 start of the program.
Canadian Renewable Fuels Association continues to work with member and non-members to address these and additional measures required by the Canadian biodiesel industry to ensure expanded production capacity can be achieved in advance of the RFS coming into effect next year.
